beauty--and--truth asked: why are they so separate? and why doesn't religion have a place on your blog?
Because for one I don’t want an inferno of conflict, I want people to learn and enjoy science. Discussion is healthy, however, topics such as: religion, abortion, capital punishment, politics and the like will not be on my blog because “discussion” is synonymous with argument when it comes to those topics and that is not the purpose of my blog. Religion, while it may have a stance on creation and other such things that science also strive to explain, belongs at a place of worship as far as being taught. Religion and science are simply immiscible in my mind, they explore the same topics on two different levels. Using the word belief in science has a different connotation than when used with religion and juxtaposing the two serves me no purpose. Any other blogs that want to explore the relationship (or lack there of) of the two are mega-welcome to it, I just won’t. :)
