Anonymous asked: These people are jerks, really. Just keep in mind that you can talk however you want to, and if you want to say something you should. If they really expect that all people from one continent (/race/whatever) talk in the same way then they surely aren't worth your time and worries anyway. You are a smart and kind person, and you surely deserve to be heard and to be treated with respect.
Aww :) Thanks so much. It just feels so hostile everywhere I go, out of all the places I’ve lived, the US is really hard for me to stay in. It’s like everyone hates me :( I go to the coffee shop ON MY BLOCK and they basically ignore me, don’t really serve me or talk to me or anything, as soon as I open my mouth (in class, at the doctor’s, at the DMV etc.) people stare at me or smirk or outright ask me “Why [do] you talk like that?” It just makes me feel so bad, idk, maybe it’s a culture clash but I don’t feel mega comfortable here, I know I shouldn’t apologize for the ignorance of others it’s just so exhausting, I just wanna go back home with my family and my friends and my language and food I recognize and people who see me as just another person. I’m such a baby! lol WAHHH DDDD:
